| The
Brothers Blue..... |
|
'Joliet'
Jake Blues
Gareth, aka Joliet Jake, has worked in the
music business for many years. He is a pianist, vocalist,
and a man of many other talents. If you're lucky, you may
see him tinkle the ivories during the show (if Dan lets him).
Gareth has worked as a Musical Director for operatic societies
as well as musicals.
Eager to get a
successful Brothers Blue Show Band as part of their duo, Gareth
takes a forward role with the rehearsals and is one of many
perfectionists within the group. |
Elwood
Blues
Nick, aka Elwood, makes up the other half of the already well
established partnership. He has been singing for many years,
and after teaming up with Gareth for a completely different
reason, he took singing to a whole new level as part of their
own tribute act. An experienced dancer (he wishes), Nick moves
his hips in such a way on stage that’s sure to get all
the ladies excited.
Nick likes new challenges, and this one has proved the most
rewarding so far. |

| The
Brothers Blue Show Band are..... |
|
Dan
Thomas - Keyboards
With some of the quickest
fingers you'll see across a keyboard, Dan is a versatile and
very experienced musician. He is a classically trained Pianist,
with a big interest in different genres of music, making him
a great asset to the Show Band. |
| Ray
Taylor - Guitar
Keeping a solid back bone
to the band, Ray is our quiet guitarist. He may not say much,
but his playing says it all. He is loving the opportunity
to play with The Brothers Blue. Away from the band, he mkes
his living as a graphic artist, designer, and illustrator.

Martin
Wakely - Bass
Challenging Gwyn
for the title of 'most senior member', Martin has spent many
years playing tuba in brass bands. He discovered the satisfaction
of playing Bass Guitar about five years ago, and thrives on
providing the bottom end to the sound and thumpin' out the
grooves with Mike on drums. |
|
Mike Parle - Drums
Mike's experience and
professionalism is second-to-none. He has been drumming for
many years with a variety of acts. It is this versatility
and his rock solid sense of timing that makes him the perfect
choice for The Brothers Blue. He has the passion, energy and
enthusiasm to drive the band through any kind of beat or rhythm
that is thrown at them.

|
Gwyn
Edwards - Trumpet
Gwyn has
spent many years playing in Brass Bands and as a session musician,
therefore this is has been a new and exciting challenge for
him. Gwyn has shown his talent and expertise carrying the
brass section on his own at the moment. He is the joker of
the group, and be sure to look out for his cowbell during
the show!
|
| Steven
Howells - Saxaphone Steve
has been playing Sax for 20 years, and it shows on stage -
listen out for his amazing solos. He's no stranger to the
gigging scene, and has played in numerous bands covering most
styles of music - funk, soul, rock, blues.. the list goes
on. To quote Steve - "I'm still learning, coz I'm s**t
really......". No
you're not Steve.
